Charlotte Brookes, Event Director – Canada Running Series
Charlotte got her start back in the 80s barely out of diapers putting race kits together for her father, Alan Brookes, founder of the Canada Running Series. Since then, she has worked in many different areas of event production at the Canada Running Series and in 2012, became the Event Director with a total of 60,000 participants annually.
Charlotte is responsible for organizing and managing CRS Events in Montreal, Edmonton and Toronto, which includes the IAAF Gold Label Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon. To successfully manage the event, her main focus and role on race day is Emergency Management, Crisis Communication and Event Dispatchers through their Forward Command Centres.
Most recently, she received the Industry Leader Under 40 Award from the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security at the National Sports Safety Conference in July 2017.
